14 months

This last month has taken place almost exclusively outdoors. Isaac is rumbling, tumbling and consuming dirt by the pound. This is a welcome change to this time last year when I was confined to the house with a newborn and it's reflected in my skin tone. I see a tan coming this summer!
Chip off the ol' block

This month has proved to be a difficult one when teething pain was combined with toddler emotions. Separation anxiety, tantrums, poor sleep and clinginess have marked most days, but with a few changes to our normal routine and approach, he seems to doing better.
Of course, we still get plenty of relaxed and peaceful moments, as well.

He's become very particular about things around the house, dutifully abiding by the phrase "a place for everything and everything in its place". Often during the day he'll come up to me with an object and won't be satisfied until I help him put where its supposed to go. A hat on my head, a comb in my hair, the leash on Rufus. He even brought parts of my breast pump and and put it up to my chest.

And shoes go on feet...
Finally satisfied with his big boy sneakers on.

And pillows go on the floor to make a little pallet.
Frustrated that the pillows aren't exactly how he wants them. Joe commented that if any picture best summed up the last year, it would be this one...
Pillows finally ready for lounging.

And then there's the beloved water table, providing daily fun in the sun.

We made a quick trip to Austin and Isaac and Luke got to test out the cribs for Luke's soon-arriving twin sisters!

He loves reading books more than ever and they've brought some much needed quiet to car rides.

The bed head that made me decide to give him another haircut.
Post-haircut

Sweet boy, sharing his snacks with Roo.
