Isaac and I made a quick trip to DFW last weekend for my volleyball alumni game and packed in lots people and places in a short amount of time.
We went to the same pumpkin patch as last year, but had a very different experience with a tractor-loving, mobile toddler.
This, my favorite.
He sat reasonably still with some pumpkins, enough for me to snap one acceptable photo.
Bibi helped him climb atop the tractors - very pleased.
He loved animals and was frustrated when they wouldn't come closer. He took the approach of yelling at them, which he learned quickly doesn't work well. His favorite were the "peegs".
Before the alumni game, we stopped by my grandparents' house for a visit with them and my dad. Isaac claimed Great-Grandad as his buddy and designated matchbox car holder for the day.
Then we went up to UTA and watched the volleyball game. Isaac was very enthusiastic about it once he realized there was a game going on. He sat in his own seat and clapped when everyone else did. I only had to stop him from running onto the court once...
Afterward, they gave all of the alumni a tour of the brand new athletic facilities. It was amazing! Some of the nicest in the country. I am excited about what this means for the future of UTA Athletics. If you're in Arlington, it's definitely worth it to go check out the new College Park area of campus.
Other than that, we just tried to make the most of our visit since we don't have another trip planned for now. Isaac enjoyed his time at Bibi's getting to play with the toys at her house, going on a shopping spree, and generally being catered to at all times (including being spoon-fed cottage cheese while he lounged on the couch and watched the Cowboy's game).
On our way out of town, we made a quick stop to see Isaac's godparents. He took an instant liking to their deerskin rug, their dog, and of course, beautiful baby Priscilla.
Up next is another visit to College Station this weekend!
