College Station

One Saturday morning, Joe and I asked each other our usual question: what do you want to do this weekend? We decided to capitalize on our new found flexibility thanks to Isaac's uni-napability and head to College Station for the day.

Isaac hadn't yet been to his Dad's alma mater and we were interested in checking out the new renovations to the Memorial Student Center. After lunch at Rudy's barbeque and pointing out all of our old date spots (if only Isaac were a little bit older he could've responded with an appropriate eye roll), we went to the MSC to look around. Because of Joe's involvement in student government, I got the insider's tour that included how certain decisions were made about the design and what discussions took place regarding different parts of the renovation.
We stopped by the bookstore and decorated Isaac with all sorts of Aggie accessories.

Then, we took a walk around campus. Joe helped a lost camper find her where she was staying - Joe's freshman dorm!
And we stopped by to greet Sul Ross.
Placing a penny on Sul's shoes for good luck.
Isaac and I took a walk under the Century Tree. Hopefully, we have at least 20 years before he thinks about walking under that tree with anyone else.
It's also a great place to catch some shade and rest on a hot July afternoon.
Looking forward to making another trip for a football weekend this Fall. See you again soon, CS!
