Sweet Tooth

It is small, it is cute and it is sharp! Isaac's first tooth broke through a couple of days ago, and although it's barely visible, he's been putting it to work. If you bring your hand within a few feet of him he'll grab on, shove your fingers in his mouth and inflict the force of his new pearly bud on your hand. It also looks like tooth #2 will be coming to the surface any day now. Due to it's size, we haven't been able to get photographic evidence of it yet. In the meantime, here's what Isaac's been doing a lot of:

He's handled teething really well. A little cranky at times and a lot of drool, but there will be some cute chompers to show for it. Joe and I are so proud of his little tooth. And while, in the abstract, it sounds strange to be proud of him for doing something that we knew he would do -- something that all healthy children do -- in practice it doesn't seem strange at all. I have a feeling we'll continue to be proud of all of his routine milestones and they will continue to feel anything but routine to us.
