A few examples:
Because of this, major efforts in the babyproofing department have been underway this month.
He has perfected what I call "the inchworm" technique of quadrupedalism. Once he figures out how to coordinate his arms and legs together, he'll be a crawlin' fool, but for now, this method is proving to work very well for him.
He's also moving from crawling to sitting and back to crawling.
However, this month wasn't without it difficulties. There was, of course, the frenulum surgery, but there was also a 3 week long stomach bug that left him constantly and uncharacteristically grumpy and awake every 2 hours at night. This prompted me to eliminate wheat, dairy and soy from my diet in an attempt to find the root of his stomach pain. In case you're like me and hadn't ever taken notice, wheat, dairy and soy are in everything. Everything delicious, that is. Isaac's belly troubles have cleared up and I am slowly phasing each of these back into my diet one at a time with no side effects for him thus far. Our only conclusion is that it possibly stemmed from the rotavirus vaccination he got at his 6 month appointment. He also struggled with teething discomfort that eventually gave way to his two top front teeth. Fortunately, after all of that he seems to be back to his chipper self!
Thanks to the fallish weather we've been able to enjoy more time outdoors. I try to give him time outside everyday, which includes walks, trips to the park, and his favorite, crawling all over me in the yard.
This month also included a visit down to the Hill Country for some time with Cousin Luke. They were infinitely more interested in each other this time around, and had a lot of fun together. We had lots of laughs comparing the ever-cautious Luke to Isaac a.k.a. Danger Baby.
The boys loved going through Bibi's cosmetics case
And having a playmate during bath time
Happy 7 months to our roly poly mover!
